We have immediate need for 4 x Floating Support Practitioners (Winter Surge) working within our Intensive Services Department. These positions are full-time (35 hours per week)

Salary: £31,562

Contract: 1-year fixed term until end of September 2027

Job Description

Job Title:                   Floating Support Practitioner (Winter Surge)

Responsible to:           Floating Support Coordinator (Winter Surge)

Role Purpose

Ara is a housing and support provider with extensive experience of housing and supporting individuals within housing across the Bristol area.

We are seeking motivated and compassionate Floating Support Practitioners to provide support to individuals accommodated in temporary housing. The role will focus on supporting individuals to maintain accommodation, improve wellbeing, access relevant services, and move towards sustainable housing solutions.

You will build positive relationships with individuals facing challenges, including rough sleeping, mental health needs, substance misuse, offending histories, and social exclusion.

Some key tasks within the role will include:

• Completing daily visits to properties.
• Developing support plans and providing floating support.
• Developing move on plans.
• Support clients to move in and move out of accommodation.
• This role includes weekend working.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience in supporting clients with multiple needs.
• Be self-motivated, driven and capable of managing their own workload.
