We have immediate need for 4 x Floating Support Practitioners for our Higher Needs Floating Support Service which works within our Intensive Services Department. These positions are full-time (35 hours per week)

Salary: £31,562

Job Description

Job Title:                   Floating Support Worker (Higher Needs Floating Support Service)

Responsible to:           Higher Needs Floating Support Manager

Role Purpose

Ara is a housing and support provider with extensive experience of housing and supporting individuals within housing across the Bristol area.

We are seeking motivated and compassionate Floating Support Practitioners for our Higher Needs Floating Support Service to provide support to individuals accommodated in temporary housing, independent tenancies and unsupported accommodation on discharge or release from prison or hospital. The role will focus on supporting individuals to stabilise and sustain their accommodation or working towards more suitable accommodation where appropriate.

You will provide practical and holistic support to clients within the community through a support and risk management plan which reflects the clients’ choices and aligns with protected characteristics.

Some key tasks within the role will include:

• Developing individualised support and risk management plans.
• Provide 1:1 in person, holistic relationship-based support.
• Use a multi-agency approach, establishing good working relationships with cross sector providers.
• Engagement with the wider community.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience in supporting clients with multiple needs.
• Be self-motivated, driven and capable of managing their own workload.
