OUR IMPACT

Hope, better lives, and the evidence to prove it

For nearly 40 years, Ara has worked with some of the most vulnerable people in society. Here’s what that looks like in numbers, in people’s own words, and in the standards we hold ourselves to.

The Year in Numbers

Last year we reached over 43,000 people across Southwest England and Wales, a 47% increase on the year before. From recovery housing in Bristol to gambling harms treatment, from prison gates to youth education, our work reached further than ever.

Impact Report 2025–2026

Our annual snapshot of everything we achieved this year. Housing, gambling harms treatment, prison resettlement, youth education, and the partnerships that make it all possible.

An excellent CQC report

In 2025, the Care Quality Commission inspected our Gambling Harms Treatment Service and reported it as excellent across all five key areas: safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led.

What people say

Feedback from clients, partners, and staff, gathered from our 2024 and 2025 surveys. Honest voices — the good, the constructive, and what we changed as a result.

Our Standards

The accreditations, certifications, and policies that hold our work to account. ISO 9001, Cyber Essentials, Matrix, Living Wage, and more.
