Ara win the Outstanding Contribution to Safer Gambling award!
After being selected as finalists in the shortlisting for the Global Regulatory Awards, the winners were announced on Thursday 21st October.
Along with our partners at Beacon Counselling Trust, we are proud to have been recognised for our excellence in the field of problem gambling. This was driven by our work with South Asian Communities, Breaking the Sharam. The project aimed to help break the stigma of seeking help for gambling problems within these communities.
The ‘Breaking the Sharam’ Project provides non-judgemental, culturally sensitive and appropriate advice on accessing specialist support to anyone experiencing gambling related harms in the South Asian Community.
