Gambling Treatment Service – Senior Practitioner
We have an immediate need for a Senior Practitioner to help lead our growing Gambling Treatment
team. This role is full-time (35 hours).
Based – South West England
Salary – £39,452
Ara is the National Gambling Treatment Service provider for the Southwest. We have been
supporting people experiencing gambling harms (including affected others) for many years,
and last year supported over 12,000 people across our services.
We are looking for a highly motivated and proactive individual who can support the
Treatment Service Manager in growing Ara’s gambling treatment service. The successful
postholder will lead and direct our interventions supporting people suffering with gambling
related harms.
The postholder will work collaboratively with the team, bringing management experience
to promote a high-performing team and an excellent service for clients.
Some of the key tasks for this role include to:
- Ensuring that Ara gambling treatment clients receive the highest quality services that meet
their individual needs, managing risk and improving accessibility to treatment, resulting in
positive outcomes for clients. - Overseeing quality assurance for continuous improvement.
- Hold a small case of clients for one-to-one Counselling.
- Modelling attitudes, behaviours and skills required to ensure Ara’s Gambling Treatment Service
is of the highest quality.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience managing high-performance teams and developing team behaviours,
attitudes and skills to ensure the team performs at their best. - Be self-motivated and driven, capable of managing their own workload while effectively
collaborating with colleagues to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
