Gambling Treatment Service – Access Lead

We have immediate need for an Access Lead, working within our Gambling Support services. This
position is Full time 35 hours per week including a shift pattern of 12-8 and 9-5 alternate weeks.

Ara is looking for a full time dynamic and motivated gambling Access Lead to join the treatment team
on a full-time basis to support those experiencing gambling harms or those affected by someone
else’s gambling.

All applicants must hold a minimum of a Level 4 Counselling qualification and already have experience
in a similar role supporting those at various stages of gambling addiction recovery.

Purpose of the job
The aim of the role is to provide a pivotal entry point to the wider treatment system for those
experiencing gambling related harms or those affected by someone else’s gambling, ensuring an
efficient and welcoming response for those accessing our gambling support service.
Responsible for comprehensive assessment, administration and inputting on to Ara’s case
management system, referrals into treatment, provide comprehensive assessments to service users
at the beginning of their support journey and manage risk and safeguarding concerns.
