Step Together

In 2019 Ara partnered with Second Step for the Step Together service. This is a support service for adults in Somerset who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, and also have a mix of mental health needs, drug and alcohol problems, behavioural issues, debt or have been involved in the criminal justice system.

The service helps people find accommodation by supporting them to negotiate with landlords and providers. Step Together does not provide housing itself.

Step Together is about helping people to live fulfilling lives in their own communities, retain their tenancy and reduce repeated homelessness.
